Exploring Nature through Language Arts

Post-Visit Activity (with the assumption students already completed the Exploring Nature through Self-expression activity at a nature site)*Return to the school grounds and take a walk around the block. As they journey, students are to take notes about their surroundings, much like they did in the woods. They are to make use of all five of their senses. Using their notes the students will write a poem of their choice. Finally, students will make a compare and contrast chart noting the similarities and differences of the two locations.
