Applying "Bella the Butterfly"
Plant Unit
We will begin by studying the parts of a plant. Then we will plant cucumber, zucchini, and yellow squash seeds. Each student will have a chance to plant seeds and take care of the plants as they grow. Children will water, fertilize, and weed the planting during their assigned days.
As the flowers appear, the children will learn about pollination by pollinating the flowers using a paint brush.
The children will write a description of what they experienced.
