Teaching Facilities
The
Aldo Leopold Nature Center operates two locations.
Monona Campus: Interpretive trails lead
visitors through a variety of habitats including prairies, wetlands and woodlands. Visitors
have access to trails through approximately 94 acres of adjacent
City conservation park land. Trails are open from sun up to
sundown, 365 days a year.

Trails & Terrain
Leopold Interpretive Trail - This
award-winning trail leads visitors through examples of native
Wisconsin habitats, with easy to understand explanations of
various sites and questions that Aldo Leopold might have asked
you, had he been standing next to you on the trail!
Black
Earth Campus: Hiking trails traverse hills, valleys and rocky
outcroppings at this 38-acre wooded campus. The Leopold Lodge and
Alexander Studio offer a perfect retreat from the stresses of
the everyday world.
